Tracking geek - Quantified Self
As you may know, I am an unashamed geek when it comes to tracking stuff. It's really not as tricky as it sounds though. It only takes about 90 seconds a night to track everything (lifestyle factors, supplements, energy levels and sleep quality) on a big old excel spreadsheet. Then, rather than wondering if meditation helps me feel more relaxed, or drinking loads of wine the night before a big day has a negative impact (duh), I have the data to prove it. This movement is known as Quantified Self, and there are some enlightened discoveries being made by people every day. Do you track? I would love - love - to hear from you? On to my latest tracking, which has proved that cashews and cacao nibs really don't agree with me. Okay, I told you I was a tracking geek, but rather than wonder what it was that was causing discomfort, I have now worked it out with the stats to prove it. Yep this stuff definitely hurts my stomach and affecting my energy levels. Why is another matter (although Dave Asprey says cacao/chocolate can be very moldy so it's important to buy pure stuff. That would make sense as certain cacao butters seems to be fine.)
